The Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine is an annual international award for an unpublished poem on a medical subject.

The Hippocrates poetry and medicine initiative was co-founded by a team from University of Warwick, supported during its initial 4 years by several external organisations interested in medicine and the arts, including the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine, the Wellcome Trust, the Cardiovascular Research Trust and Heads, Teachers and Industry.

It is amongst the best funded awards anywhere in the world for a single poem.
