2013 International Hippocrates Prize for a poem on a medical subject
The Hippocrates poetry and medicine initiative was founded in
2009. In its first 3 years, there have been over 4000 entries from
44 countries for the Hippocrates Prize.
With a first prize of £5000 for each its two categories - the
international Hippocrates Prize and the Hippocrates PRoze for NHS
related staff and students - it is amongst the best funded awards
anywhere in the world for a single poem.
